What is this product?

La Remittance Wallet is a digital solution that allows users to send money quickly, safely and easily, mainly from the United States to Mexico, although its architecture can be adapted to other migratory corridors. Designed to facilitate international transfers from a mobile app, this wallet centralizes the management of payment methods, recipients, shipment tracking, and customer support in a single ecosystem.

The product is intended for use cases where the sender of the shipment resides abroad (for example, the United States) and the recipient is in Mexico. The user can add payment methods such as debit/credit cards to fund shipments, define recipients with different reception schemes (transfer, card, etc.), and track their transactions in real time. All from a mobile environment, without the need to go to branches or physical points.

Modules

The Wallet solution for sending remittances is comprised of separate and decouplable modules, designed to be activated according to the specific needs of the customer, the operating model and the particular use case. This modular architecture allows for a highly flexible configuration that ranges from basic fund reception implementations to more sophisticated operations that integrate payment origin functionality, identity control, advanced traceability and automated notifications.

Each module meets user experience, security, interoperability and regulatory compliance standards, and can be customized to fit the technical, regulatory or business requirements of each implementation. This structure makes it possible to accelerate time to market, reduce development costs and ensure product scalability as the needs of the operation evolve.

The main modules available in this solution are described below.

Registration and login

This module allows new users to join the platform quickly and securely. Registration is done by email and telephone, including validation with SMS code and email confirmation.


The system guides the user in creating secure passwords and automatically manages duplication and fraud controls. The login includes real-time authentication, credential recovery and preventive blocking against failed attempts, thus guaranteeing reliable access aligned with best security practices.

User profile

The profile section centralizes the administration of the user's personal and contact data (name, alias, telephone, email, address and password). Each change is processed with step-by-step validations to avoid inconsistencies and reinforce compliance with the data required by integrated providers and current regulations. This module also includes critical functions such as account deletion, secure updates and full traceability of changes made.

Payment methods

This module allows the user to add and manage debit cards as an exclusive source of funds for sending remittances. The flow is designed to ensure a simple, secure experience aligned with good compliance and fraud prevention practices.

Each card entered is validated with an automatic identity verification and BIN analysis process, ensuring that it is indeed a valid debit card issued by a recognized financial institution. Credit cards or other alternative payment methods are not allowed.


The module also allows you to edit data associated with each card, easily delete them and view the estimated time of delivery of funds, as well as the corresponding commission per transaction.


All sensitive data is managed in compliance with PCI-DSS security standards.

Recipient Management

It makes it easy to register, edit and manage the people who will receive money transfers. The user can capture name, alias, telephone and receipt data (bank account, card or bank) in simple, guided flows. The module supports multiple types of recipients and different payment configurations, offering an organized and secure directory for the dispersion of remittances.

Sending money

It is the central flow of the wallet and the one that concentrates the value proposition. The user selects the recipient, the payment method and the amount, while the system calculates in real time the exchange rate, commissions and the final amount to be received. It includes confirmation screens with a breakdown of costs and results of the operation. All information is transmitted encrypted and processed in a secure environment, minimizing risks and providing confidence in every transaction.

Transaction history

Screen dedicated to chronologically displaying all the remittances sent and received. It allows you to apply filters by date, recipient or status, access the full detail of each transaction and even repeat frequent operations with a single click. Visible statuses (pending, sent, received) make it easy to track each shipment, while direct access to support channels allows you to resolve issues without leaving the flow.

Notifications and alerts

Automated system that informs the user about relevant events: successful shipments, transaction errors, registration of a new recipient, expired cards or unusual transactions. Notifications are deployed within the app and can be supplemented with email or SMS depending on the customer's configuration. This ensures proactive communication, timely follow-up and a better user experience.

Help and Support Center

Section specialized in user service, which centralizes FAQs, email contact and WhatsApp channels. It allows you to scale critical requests, collect tickets and receive support in real time. The module is designed to integrate internal customer processes and offer a consistent experience at all points of contact, reinforcing trust and satisfaction of the end user.
